Following on from the results of their strategic research,
NTCM has defined their Mission statement as:
Newtownabbey Town Centre Management will seek to make Newtownabbeys
Town Centre Areas of excellence for retail, business, the
arts and culture, evening entertainment and to provide a
clean, safe, accessible and inviting environment for all
of its users and visitors.
This Mission will be achieved through delivering the following
key objectives:

To create a baseline health check for
Newtownabbeys Town Centres, benchmarked against other
town centres of excellence throughout Northern Ireland

| 2. |
Identify means of contributing towards the revitalisation
of town centres through strategic marketing initiatives
and alliances with partners.
|
| 3. |
To develop relationships with, and work
alongside existing local organisations, whether statutory,
community or economic for the positive regeneration
of the town centres.
|
| 4. |
To enhance the areas existing business and social
economy groups by offering a range of business services
through a development programme adding real value
to these organisations.
|
| 5. |
To promote and improve the retail offering
and evening entertainment choices through attracting
new, brand or multiples shops, bars and restaurants
and other shopping and leisure options.
|
| 6. |
To develop a clean, safe and attractive
environment in partnership with local council, PSNI,
local community and social economy organisations, and
traders with plans.
|
| 7. |
Develop an effective NTCM company organisation
structure with sponsorships/ partnership arrangements.
|
| 8. |
Ensure adequate funding is available
from the public sector sources, private sector partners
and sponsorships to make the objectives realiseable.

| 9. |
To ensure the sustainability of the Newtownabbey
Town Centre Management Company beyond this strategic
timeframe and to encourage growth of the Company providing
additional services and activities.
